Singapore-based Om Maritime has placed an order for two eco-friendly chemical tankers from Jiangxi New Jiangzhou Shipbuilding Heavy Industry. These 13,800-dwt stainless steel tankers are scheduled for delivery in late 2026.
The new vessels will be classed by Bureau Veritas and designed to meet the highest emission standards. They will be equipped with twelve duplex stainless steel cargo tanks and can carry a variety of chemicals, acids, petroleum products, and edible oils.
This order marks a significant milestone for Om Maritime as they transition to a more modern and sustainable fleet. The new tankers will enhance their operational efficiency and provide better services to their clients.
